What happened to the Target $1 surprises?!?

Marcio and I decided to give potty training a try, since Miss Rennee convinced us that Noah is ready. It has been going great so far. Marcio and I even created a "surprise box", full of $1 surprises from the dollar session at Target. Noah was always thrilled to get something new, and was always looking forward to the next "surprise" (funny that we give such a thing this name, given that he knows every single thing that is in the box, he actually goes to Target with us to get them).
Well, that until this weekend. As you can see below, grandma and grandpa have been here for a whole 3 days now, and Noah has already gotten a fire-truck/sprinkler, a tool bench from Bob the Builder, and a new bike! Last night someone called him Fireman Sam, and he replied: "No! I am Fireman Bob the Builder!" I guess that covers them all. Good answer, Noah.
Now, Noah, filho, just so we are clear, as soon as grandma and grandpa go back to Brazil, we are back to the $1 surprise box, ok?!?! :-)

Yeah, good luck with all that. After Sara earned her princess dress, she just wasn't interested in my 50 cent bracelets. I feel totally taken by my 2 year old. Potty training is ridiculous. I'm too tired to keep at it! Can't I just keep her in diapers forever?!

Better luck at your house!

Lori,
I share your frustration!
I am just hoping my parents can be here long enough for Noah to be fully potty trained! :-)
Hang in there!!!

Could you be more adorable?!
And to think that, when you guys came to Brazil, I'd push him in the stroller pretending it was a train...
I looooove you guys!

Love the Target $1 surprises! That's too cute! How did you get that header picture on the top of your blog? I really like that!

When I got Ana Paula and Fabiana I thought I had got the biggest gift God could give me, but I was wrong....the very best was yet to come....and it did....when we had Noah and Oliver.
To be their grandma has been wonderfull.
They make me question myself what have I done to deserve such a gift and have got no other answer than....GOD THINKS YOU DESERVE IT....
Thank you Noah, thank you Oliver for letting me be so happy and proud of being your grandma. You'll be able to count on me forever....and for sure to have my love and my thoughts forever.
Take care, babies....I really need you healthy and happy!
